National Sales Meeting

Something about traveling makes me want to go get new luggage, travel size everything, my clothes dry cleaned and possibly a new outfit for the trip. Chris was preparing to go to his first National Sales Meeting which is located in Orlando, Florida. Approximately 8,000 store managers and sales reps travel across the country to this seminar. As you can imagine I was super excited to make sure my hubs was SUPER prepared for his first business trip!

First I (of course) raided the Wal-mart "travel size everything" isle!

I was also instructed to get a few protein bars just in case the food was as bad (apparently it's bad every year). I then proceeded to make sure Chris looked as professional as possible. Knowing he'd have to travel with a few business casual outfits and a suit I went in search of a garment bag.

Perfect! So I made sure to take his slacks and shirts to the cleaners so they would be starched a ready for travel.

Orlando bound! His boss even asked him to give a speech! I'm so proud!! Hurry home to me sweetums!

Of course I can't sign off without a little mention of food. Last weekend we had some friends over for dinner so I was determined to make even the bread from scratch. Chris's mom and aunt have an old family recipe that is to DIE for! Rosetta's bread is the most wonderfully magnificent piece of carbohydrate you ever put in your mouth. Of course since it requires yeast and rising time the recipe is a little intimidating.

It didn't turn out with the exact same texture as the Bendel's but it still tasted YUMMY! I also wanted to try my first pork tenderloin. I found a recipe for herbed apricot pork tenderloin.

I forgot to take a picture with it was done cooking, but it was so tender and a great meal to have if you're entertaining!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

End of 2010

I can't believe I haven't blogged ONCE since Thanksgiving! But I have been a little busy. Here are some pics of our end to 2010.

I made Christmas Style cake balls for our Sunday school party and office parties.

One of my favorite things about Christmas is wrapping presents. I LOVE picking our wrapping paper and sitting down after dinner with movie on and wrapping presents!

Chris surprised me with a get away weekend to San Antonio for our first anniversary! We stayed at the Hotel Valencia right on the riverwalk. I would STRONGLY recommend that hotel to anyone! We had such a wonderful time! Here are a few pics!

Our cake tasted AWESOME! Even the pineapple seemed fresh?!

The following Wednesday was Chris's birthday. I made my very first coconut cream pie! Chris picked Houston's as his restaurant of choice and then we went over to my brothers place to surprise him with his present!

A NEW GRILL!!! Check number one off his "man list". haha!

Finally we made it to Christmas! I'm not sure how we got to Abilene and back with SO MUCH STUFF but somehow we made it.

We got to see Gran!!!!!

Traditional Christmas Eve dinner at the Bendels....deli subs and potato soup! YUM!

Check number two on the "man list" a SMOKER! Yay! Now I just need the leather chair and ottoman! haha Love you babe!

We spent new years with my parents and made homemade pizza and relaxed. When we got home on Saturday night we celebrated the new year with the champagne with bought for New Years Eve! We must be getting old!

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and be able to spend some time just hanging out! We love you all!

Bring it on 2011!! It's going to be hard to beat 2010!

Much Love
